Who's Got It Better Than Us?

We had a really nice weekend, even with lingering cold symptoms clinging to Maisy and me like lint. Saturday morning found us breakfasting at the Boulange, our neighborhood bakery, as per our usual routine. After we ate, we walked over to the neighborhood playground so Buster and Maisy could run around.

I like this one because you can see Maisy in the act of splashing.

Dave captured this one of Maisy and Buster playing. They're a pretty good team.

Later that day, Dave met our good friends the Greenes, and also read with Maisy. Is there anything sweeter than Daddy + Maisy?

Sunday, we had (in my book) a perfect San Francisco morning. First, we greeted the day with swimming lessons at 8:30. After, Maisy and Finn ran around and gleefully played in Hillier and Katie's car.

When our need for caffeine got the better of us, we went to the Mission with Finn and family for breakfast. There we learned a valuable lesson: most of the people who are inclined to hang out at hip coffee shops, or to wait in lines that snake down the block to buy hand-rolled Brooklyn bagels from pop-ups, are not up as early as we are! We beat the crowds, enjoyed our coffee and Schmendricks bagels, and discovered a cool new playground. Doesn't get much better than this. As Dave and Maisy say:

Dave: Who's got it better than us?
Maisy: Nobody!
