We had a very special treat in November, when Dave's sister Judy and her daughter Catie joined us here in San Francisco to celebrate Catie's 10th birthday! We love Judy and Catie (and Jeff and Jeffrey, who held down the fort back in Massachusetts), but don't get to see them often enough. So we were thrilled that the mother-daughter duo chose to celebrate Catie's special birthday with us!
As the reader may have gathered from past posts about our visit to Massachusetts, or our vacations in the Outer Banks: Maisy LOVES Catie. She was over the moon with her big girl cousin under our roof, and we had lots of adventures, big (Muir Woods, Stinson Beach) and small (matching pj's, birthday waffles and cupcakes). It is probably too much to hope that Judy and Catie will make a birthday trip an annual tradition, but in the meantime, we have our summer week together in the Outer Banks to look forward to, as well as a few awesome photos to share.
