Four

Four. Four! It is hard to believe that Maisy is now four years old! She is a bright, sparkling light who is engaged fully with the world, who loves her family and friends fiercely, and who has just the right mixture of maturity and immaturity to really keep us on our toes. (That last clause was my attempt at a poetic version of "she can negotiate like a lawyer and have a fierce breakdown like a toddler, often within the same breath".)

Four.

At her 4-year-old check-up, Maisy measured 41.75" tall (that's 3 feet, 5 and 3/4 inches tall, and I didn't even use my calculator) and weighed 37 pounds. She's so big!

But she still loves to wear her footy pajamas.

She loves to wear her pajamas so much, in fact, that she usually changes into them as soon as we come home from our activity of the day. And her birthday party? It was a pajama party. In a public park! The kids had fun breaking the taboo of wearing pajamas while out and about, and some parents even got into the spirit (Dave and I were contractually required to be clad in pajamas).

So far, Maisy at four is pretty fantastic.
