Happy Birthday, Daddy!
This year, Maisy has gleefully mastered "Happy Birthday!" She was first exposed to the phrase in November for her cousin Catie's birthday, but shyness kept her from repeating it whenever anyone other than Dave or me might have heard her. Not so with Dave's birthday on January 7! "Happy Birthday, Daddy!" became a regular cheer around our apartment. And Maisy has a generous spirit; she has not limited her happy birthday wishes. Rather, they continue to ring out to Daddy, as well as to other friends whether or not their birthday is anywhere near. It's lovely.
