Heat Wave

San Francisco weather can be variable. Cold fog in the morning may give way to a sunny pleasant afternoon. Or, it may not. That's the thing: it's variable! This weekend and the past few days we were blessed by a heat wave, with temperatures from the mid-80's to -90's. Although we often have our warm and sunny summer weather in the fall, this was still a bit stunning, but mostly welcome.

Wait. You thought I said there was a heat wave?
This photo was taken Saturday morning. It was foggy and cold, hence the winter jacket and hat (atop pajamas, thankyouverymuch) necessary for our morning visit to the bakery.

OK, here's the heat wave.
Finn and Maisy had a date to ride their skuuts at the neighborhood tennis court. Maisy got distracted by some dandelions.

Sunday afternoon post-skuut swing (on a big kid swing!)

Tuesday evening walk on Tank Hill.
Honestly, to be outside at 6:00 with bare legs and bare arms? Practically unheard of.
Today is Wednesday, and I think -- by the look of the fog I can see blowing down the Panhandle and the sound of the foghorns echoing up from the Bay -- that it's safe to say the heat has broken.
