It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Oh, Christmastime! How I love thee! This is really my favorite time of the year. Although I don't like cold, I like cozy, and Christmastime is all about cozy. And sparkly lights! And general good cheer! And time together with friends and family!

Did I mention holiday treats and good food?

What's not to like?

This year I baked Christmas cookies for the first time in a long time. I made my Mom's spice cookies, and my Grandma Wolff's soft sugar cookies. It was fun!
We served them at our annual holiday party (sorry, not a single photo this year!) along with Grace's cupcakes and our friend David the chef's hors d'Ĺ“uvre.
Once again, our we attempted family photo shoots with our friends Hilier, Katie & Finn.
Katie took this photo which we used for our holiday card.

This is Maisy's third Christmas, which is hard to believe. After experimenting with our first "vacation" Christmas last year by traveling to Kauai, this year we decided to stay home. Grandma has joined us here in San Francisco, and today we spent a lovely morning, conveniently avoiding downpours, at Crissy Field.

Santa brought an early present for Maisy and me: rain pants.
They were just the ticket for puddle jumping and wading!
As for Buster, well, he has his own ideas about whether he ought to stay dry...
